Golf Australia Express : October 2014
It seemed to work out well, although friendly and assertive are not mutually exclusive when it comes to caddies, as I found out. Early on in the round as I stood over a 10-footer, my caddie looked at me and said, “Straight”. “Nah, inside left,” I confidently replied. “No, its straight,” she insisted. The exchange went through one or two more rounds before her advice was finally heeded. And as the ball rattled in the heart of the hole for a rare birdie, I turned to my caddie with a smile. “Straight,” I said, gesturing the same. We’ve been mates ever since. If you find yourself treking about in Cambodia, be sure to sneak in a round or two at one of the best golf experiences in all of Asia — Angkor Golf Resort. It truly is worth the effort. One tip, though. Tee off early. It gets pretty damn hot. OTG SEE WHAT MAKES ANGKOR GOLF RESORT SO SPECIAL
