Golf Australia Express : OTG Express 125
THETOUR Clockwork ORANGE THERE'S little, if any, doubt Rickie Fowler answered his critics the best way possible over the past 12 months. Only Rory McIlroy got his flashy sticks talking more than the colourful Californian over that period. The 2013- 14 season saw Fowler break into the weekly conversation for punters, as he regularly found his way into the first handful of names on the leaderboard. Top-five finishes in all four majors is a sure way to get tongues wagging. Yet despite his incredible turnaround in form — due mainly to his teaming up with Butch Harmon and a new dose of self belief — Fowler struggled to finish off events last season. And while he is clearly one of the more popular golfers on Tour with players and fans in equal measure, he hasn't been as well-liked with first- place cheques, having secured just a solitary PGA Tour title under his flashy Puma belt (the 2012 Wells Fargo Championship). But as they say, if you keep knocking on the door, eventually someone will answer. OTG [See the behind-the-scenes video, left, of Rickie Fowler shooting an ad for The First Tee.]
