WORDS BY ADRIAN BALLANTYNE Party Poopers IT DIDN’T take long for the Fun Police to fire up their sirens and descend like a thick mist at the first sign of people enjoying themselves. The PGA Tour’s famed ‘party hole’ at the Phoenix Open is now the golfing equivalent of a Blue Light Disco, after the Tour pulled the pin on players and caddie’s hurling freebies to eager patrons at this year’s event. It was one of the last truly fun things left in golf, and it is gone almost as quickly as it arrived. Here are a few more that went the way of the Dodo, and some that the powers that be are yet to get their hands on. OTG
