The Weather Cockpit, from the meteorological group UBIMET, provides precise forecasts which are updated every 30 minutes and give information on temperature, wind and precipitation, while the severe weather warning system provides SMS and email alerts on extreme weather events. It can even provide notification of lightning strikes within a 10km radius, rather than to the nearest weather station, the previously accepted norm.
