WORDS BY BRENDAN JAMES I N one of the coolest cities in America, one of the coolest players in golf showed why these days he is often referred to as The Most Interesting Golfer In The World. The flagship Of course, its old news now that Miguel Angel Jimenez and Keegan Bradley had an interesting come together, toe-to-toe, on the final hole of their match at the WGC Cadillac Match Play in San Francisco, with the American getting right in the Spaniard’s face. Jimenez’s reaction was not to raise his voice or get personal with Bradley ... he just kept talking and didn’t back down. Was it gamesmanship? Bradley later confessed he had been schooled by his 51-year-old opponent, a veteran of four Ryder Cups, who had got under his skin. He might be right, after all Jimenez learned about winning as a caddie at a club near Malaga, Spain, where he showed more interest in earning pesetas than playing golf. One of seven brothers, Jimenez dropped out of school at 15 to earn more money and the more he caddied, the more the game started to grab hold of him. The older caddies started teaching him how to play and he would secretly hit balls out of sight of the members of the Torrequebrada club.
