Golf Australia Express : OTG Express 148
WILLIAMS BACK ON SCOTT'S BAG ADAM Scott and Steve Williams have agreed to rekindle their successful partnership, with Williams to again caddie for the Australian. Williams will be alongside Scott for at least the next four events on his schedule, which includes the the US Open, Open Championship, Bridgestone Invitational and US PGA Championship. Scott and caddie Mike Kerr ended their time together last week, leaving Scott without an experienced bagman for the upcoming major events, so he called Williams and coerced him out of retirement. MORE > ________________________________ DOING IT BY THE BOOK HAVING missed four of his last five cuts, Cameron Percy spent some time with coach David Orr, who recommended the Victorian should read Golf Flow by golf/sports psychologist Gio Valente. Percy did just that and as of last Friday, he had completed four chapters. “It’s helped so far,” Percy said. With a plan to read a chapter a night, Percy posted 67-64-68 -68 for a share of 10th place at the Byron Nelson, which was his first top-10 since the 2011 John Deere Classic. “I just tried to focus and it’s working,” he said. ________________________________ TAKE A STROKE FOR STROKE Golfers of all ages and abilities will be able to take their best shot at a $1 million hole-in-one at an Australia-wide amateur charity golf competition to be held this month. Take a Stroke for Stroke (takeastrokeforstroke.com) is the brainchild of pro golfer Gary Begg, who says the event combines his passion for golf with his drive to raise money for charity. “This event is all about getting people togetoutandhaveagoonthegolf course and importantly raise awareness about strokes and what they can do,” Begg said.
