v AVAILABLE NOW; SRP: $319; nike.com MAD NIKE METHOD CONVERGE PUTTERS T HE first thing that strikes you about Nike’s Method Converge putters is the slick colour set-up. Then you drop a ball down and stroke it – it feels soft and rolls true. The red ‘trim’ is more than just that. It’s part and parcel of the ‘Method Technology’ Nike club designers have used to soften the feel at impact, eliminate putts skidding and promote a faster forward roll. Each of the four putter-head models in the Method Converge family uses a resin polymer (RZN, which is found in Nike’s golf balls) between the face and back of the putter to improve ball roll. Nike says the material can control sidespin on off-centre strikes so toe and heel misses come off the face consistently straighter. The red RZN also provides a visual "T" shaped alignment aid that assists in lining up the putter properly at address. The Method Converge putters also feature what Nike calls ‘Return To Square’ (RTS), which is in each of the different models and has been designed for players with different stroke types. Each style suits the stroke so that the putter blade is returned to a square position at impact. OTG the GEAR “OF ALL THE HAZARDS, FEAR IS THE WORST.” Sam Snead CHAMPIONS OF YOUR GAME. The M1-08 mallet has been created for an arc stroke. S1-12 and S2-12 putters are for players with a square path putting stroke. The B1-01 blade putter is designed putting strokes with a slight curve pathand is also available in left-hand models.
