Golf Australia Express : GA Express 191
Scott drew infinitely more criticism by declaring that his reason for skipping Rio was that he was too busy during the Olympic month of August. For hardworking Aussies who buy his sponsors’ products, it’s hard to swallow the notion that someone who earns more than $10 million a year while playing around 16 weeks of the year is truly under the pump. Publishing your monthly calendar with only one event scheduled during those four weeks doesn’t help the cause much either. So just be honest, Scotty. Don't give the vitriolic, bigoted has-beens and never- weres any added ammunition. Don’t tell us you’re flat out and can’t possibly jump on a flight to South America. Just say what you really think: that professional golf has no place in the Olympics. Hell, most probably agree with you, particularly when the scheduled four- day strokeplay tournament is about as imaginative as a fish and chip shop menu. But next time you decide to stay home, spare us the tale of woe. You’re so, so much classier than that. E Click here to learn the 3 most common chipping/pitching mistakes and how to eliminate them....with one of Australia’s most accomplished golf professionals, winner of 22 tournaments worldwide, with over 35 years of experience in golf, a published author and commentator, ALPG Golf Professional Anne Rollo.
