Golf Australia Express : GA Express 216
I T’S not the best course on Tour (nor is it the worst) but for backdrops and an experience like no other, Hawaii gets the job done every time. There are few better stops on Tour for fans, given that unlike most PGA Tour destinations, it’s set up as a tourist mecca first, with a top golf course as a happy by-product. Given it’s the first tournament of the new year for most players, the extra travel to get there is no big deal and they’re able to enjoy some extra days on the island in advance. A big win. 9. SONY OPEN M ATCH play isn’t everyone’s thing, but for many there are few things better as a fan than being able to watch any pairing on any hole on course and know every shot means something. A duel down the back nine between two lesser lights can be just as enthralling as watching McIlroy and Spieth go head-to-head, and the ‘all or nothing’ nature of the contest once a player falls behind on the scoreboard makes for great viewing. Austin Country Club isn’t a bad joint, either. 10. WGC-DELL MATCH PLAY
