Its precarious recent history led Billy Horschel to this week reveal he would have skipped the Tour’s Mexico leg – had he been invited to play there in the first place – because of security concerns. “I think the WGC events are great events,” Horschel said after the Honda Classic. “I just wasn’t sure if I wanted to go to Mexico City. I know that they’ve said that it’s a secure spot, and we’re fine, and where we are is good. I just didn’t want to go. A lot of guys don’t want to go to China; I didn’t want to go to Mexico.”
