PING GLIDE 2.0 WEDGES Available now; RRP: $250 (steel shaft) $275 (graphite). www.ping.com THE GEAR P ING'S new Glide 2.0 wedges feature the sharpest groove edges ever on a Ping wedge. These sharper groove edges help the Glide 2.0 to increase spin and improve trajectory control. Ping’s engineers developed a precise wheel cut milling technique to allow them to create the new grooves which are closer together on the face, allowing the addition of extra grooves. Lower lofts feature one extra groove, while the higher lofts have an additional two grooves to maximise greenside spin and control. Designed with input from tour players, Glide 2.0 wedges have already found their way into the bags of Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen, as well as many more of the world’s best players. Commenting on the variety of options available due to the four sole grinds (SS, WS, TS and ES) Ping Chairman and CEO, John Solheim said “Glide 2.0 wedges offer all golfers a tremendous opportunity to improve their short games.” No stone has been left unturned in the production of the Glide 2.0 wedges. The soft, 431 stainless steel heads are finished in hydropearl chrome which repeals moisture and minimises turf interaction, while the grip and shaft are specifically designed for improved short game performance.
