Golf Australia Express : GA Express 233
HUNTER MAHAN Before he fell off the proverbial golfing cliff, Mahan was a match play beast. You could argue he still is, given his 23 most recent matches have resulted in 19 wins and the 2012 WGC Match Play title. Only issue is his form slump means he hasn’t played a match play contest since 2015, when John Senden knocked him out of the WGC. By the time Nagle won the Centenary Open Championship, he had already established a prolific winning record on home soil. He still holds the record for the most number of Australian PGA victories at six titles. Four of those wins (between 1949 and 1959) came in the era when the championship was decided by match play and only once was he taken to the 18th hole. KEL NAGLE MAHAN BEATS RORY IN WGC 2012 FINAL
