Golf Australia Express : GA Express 234
KARRIE WEBB (2006) Trust an Aussie to bring a backyard favourite into the mix. Webb’s second victory at the tournament resulted in a side-by-side cannonball/bomb with caddy, Mike Patterson. Webb’s form was fairly impressive and the splash was a decent one. LORENA OCHOA (2008) Ochoa’s jump into Poppie’s Pond is memorable for two reasons. Firstly, a live Mariachi band played by the pond to celebrate the win. Second, was the jump itself. The Mexican went for a long jump style leap that Bob Beamon would have been happy with. STACY LEWIS (2011) The American claimed her first LPGA Tour win with a major victory in 2011. Her leap alongside her family was certainly not the most impressive dive but was memorable for the wrong reasons. Lewis’ mother, Carol, misjudged the dive and her awkward tumble resulted in a broken leg. PATTY SHEEHAN (1996) The Hall of Famer won her final LPGA Tour event and sixth major championship with her win. Obviously overjoyed by the result, the American cartwheeled into the water, and even took the trophy for a swim.
