IS the 72- hole scoring record at the Masters, held by Tiger Woods (1997) and Jordan Spieth (2015). On the 18th in 2015, Spieth only needed par to score 269, but missed an eight-foot par putt and made bogey (...not that he cared). 270 YEARS old – the average age of the past 79 Masters champions. World No.1 Dustin Johnson will be 32.79 years old at this year’s tournament – he’s also won his last three starts and finished tied fourth at Augusta last year ... Look out. 32.54 NICK Faldo won back-to-back in 1989 and 1990, both in playoffs, making him the most frequent winner of playoffs at Augusta. Faldo won a third green jacket in 1996 – after Norman’s infamous collapse – making him the third most successful player at the Masters. 2 18 JACK Nicklaus’s six Masters victories are the most of anyone. Nicklaus first won as a 23-year-old in 1963, defeating Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, and setting a new 72-hole scoring record of 271. He won again in 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975 and 1986. 6 thenumbers PLAYER has made an albatross on the par-5 2nd hole – “Pink Dogwood”. In the final round of 2012, Louis Oosthuizen took the lead after he holed out from 253 yards with a 4-iron. The South African would eventually finish runner-up to Bubba Watson, who defeated Oosthuizen on the par-4 10th hole in a sudden death playoff. SEE HIS AMAZING ALBATROSS IN THE VIDEO ABOVE. 1 THE course record at Augusta National. Nick Price set the record in 1986 and only Greg Norman has matched it. Norman shot 63 in his first round of the ’96 Masters, making six birdies on his inward nine. He held a six-shot lead after 54-holes but collapsed and shot a final-round 78. 63 YEARS old – theageof Jack Nicklaus when he won the Masters in 1986. “Fat Jack” remains the oldest player to don the green jacket. His victory at the 50th Masters Tournament was his 18th and final major, still the most of anybody. 46 NUMBER of birdies Jack Nicklaus made in his career at the Masters – the most of anyone. He also made the most eagles, with 24. The Golden Bear played 45 Masters Tournaments. 506
