YOUNG TOM MORRIS’ winning streak might not have lasted as long as others’ on this list, but his four consecutive Open Championships between 1868 and 1872 are hard to top. While 16 men have claimed back-to-back victories at the Open, Morris accomplished that feat and then repeated it again. And, to make it even more noteworthy, his father – Old Tom Morris – won the year before his streak began. ANNIKA SORENSTAM tied the record for the most consecutive wins on the LPGA Tour when she claimed five titles between 2004 and 2005. The Swede, who shot a 59 in 2001, reached the milestone in style when she came out on top at the Kraft Nabisco Championship – now the ANA Inspiration – for her eighth career major.
