Golf Australia Express : GA Express 243
N EW Zealand's Michael Campbell had an accomplished career in Europe and Australia, but on the PGA Tour he made it stick just the one time. We remember it, of course, because it was the 2005 US Open, where he shot a final- round 69 to overhaul a four-shot deficit to defending champion Retief Goosen, as well as holding off Tiger Woods by one stroke, to secure the win. It was his only major as well as his only PGA Tour win. In his seven subsequent attempts at the US Open, he made the cut just once, finishing tied for 58th in 2007. A NOTHER from the exclusive “one win, one major” club is South Korean Birdie Kim, who tasted major success in just her second season on the LPGA Tour when she won the 2005 US Women’s Open. Unforgettably, she was tied for the lead with Morgan Pressel and Brittany Lang at the 72nd hole when she dumped her approach into a greenside bunker, but holed out from the sand to secure the win. Following her win, Kim made just four cuts at LPGA majors from 2006 to 2016. MICHAEL CAMPBELL BIRDIE KIM
