Golf Australia Express : GA Express 244
T HE famous blue oval logo of automotive giant Ford is set to become a part of the Australian golf cart landscape with Ford golf carts soon to be a part of golf course rental fleets and plans to roll out retail models in 2018/19. Designed with high-use rental in mind, the Ford golf cart offers functional robust reliability and some high-tech features and is available in two spec levels. Only available to golf courses on long-term rental at highly competitive rates, the cart is offered in 8 inch steel wheels with mechanical brakes and 10 inch alloy wheels with electro mechanical brakes and deluxe seating. Powered by a German engineered 3.5kw AC motor, both models feature regenerative braking which extends range and requires less electricity drawn from the mains by switching to generator mode when the cart is traveling downhill, pushing energy back into the batteries. An anti- walk-away feature stops the cart rolling away when left on a hill without the parking brake activated. Golf Cart Group has been appointed exclusive distributors for the Ford golf Carts in Australia, NZ, Pacific Islands (including Fiji) and Indonesia.
