Golf Australia Express : GA Express 244
A BACK injury curtailed Ishikawa’s 2016 season, but when he was out there he was sublime (particularly in Japan) with his 12 starts yielding a win, two other podium results and three further top 10s. This year? Thirteen events for eight missed cuts, six of which have come in his last seven events on the PGA Tour, and a swing that has all but deserted him. Having missed the cut at The Memorial, the young Japanese now has only six tournaments to earn $354,700 or 218 FedEx Cup points in order to keep his PGA Tour card, having been given a medical extension for this season. I T’S hard to believe that Robert Streb was knocking on the door of the world’s top 30 late in the 2015 season. Then just 28 years old, he appeared to be on the fast track to big things. Now? Eight missed cuts in 14 events and only one top 10 result this year has the American all but bereft of form and confidence, and languishing around 170th in the world. RYO ISHIKAWA ROBERT STREB
