Golf Australia Express : GA Express 245
I F GIANTS roamed the course, they could hopscotch their way down the 7th fairway from bunker to bunker. Sand punctuates the playing passage at regular intervals left and right on this 607-yard beast, and more awaits left and short of the green, which is two-tiered from left to right. A N ELEVATED tee, stunning outlook and filthy collection of greenside bunkers make the 9th hole at Erin Hills a worthy signature. Look out on the days the flag is placed in the back-left corner – missing long in that patch means finding a deep, narrow bunker that’s all but invisible from the tee. It also means a very likely bogey, at best, such is the difficulty in getting it close from down there. HOLE 7 PAR 5, 607 YARDS HOLE 9 PAR 3, 135 YARDS
