Golf Australia Express : GA Express 248
The key here is making sure your playing line is to the left half of the fairway so you can avoid hitting over the huge Sandbelt-style bunker front and right of the elevated green. I am a big fan of short par-4s and Morcom’s 321-metre 2nd hole is a memorable one for any trip to Leongatha. On the tee you are faced with the first of several semi-blind tee shots. Driving up over a crest, the fairway descends and doglegs right before rising again to a large upturned- saucer style green with sprawling bunkers left, right and long of the putting surface. It might only be a drive and short iron but I’m sure this Morcom beauty throws up as many bogies and double bogies as it does birdies, which is something that could easily apply to so many holes at Leongatha.
