The LPGA Tour attempted to prove that point with its introduction of the $1 million box of cash presented to the winner of the ADT Championship (along with a trophy) in 2006, 2007 and 2008. CASHING IN T HE PGA Tour’s innovative team-format at the Zurich Classic this year presented tournament organisers with a dilemma. Would both players win a trophy? Their solution? Matching championship belts. The Zurich belts aren’t the first in golf, the most famous being the Challenge Belt presented to winners of The Open until 1870, when Young Tom Morris won a third consecutive Open and permanent possession of the belt.
