P ING'S update to its premium, 100 percent milled Vault putter range utilises the company’s ‘True Roll’ face technology and a new custom weighting system to deliver beautifully crafted putters coupled with tremendous performance. In keeping with Ping’s commitment to custom fitting the diverse Vault 2.0 line is offered in six head shapes – ranging from the iconic Dale Anser to the multi-material Ketsch – offers three choices in finish – stealth, platinum and copper – a variety of grip options and the use of steel (standard), tungsten (15-grams heavier) or aluminium (15-grams lighter) weights depending on a player’s preferred putter length to optimise balance and feel. With the exception of the Ketsch, which combines an aerospace-grade aluminium body with a stainless steel sole plate for increased stability, Vault 2.0 putters are milled from 303 stainless steel, including each putter’s true roll face. The milled face pattern incorporates variations in depth and pitch to speed up off- centre hits, combating the negative effect such strikes have on player’s speed control. “The craftsmanship and materials used in our milling and finishing processes ensure premium, eye-catching designs that appeal to the most discerning golfers,” Ping President John K. Solheim said of the new range. “The ability to customize the weights provides golfers a putter uniquely built to fit their game.” ► True rolling beauties THE GEAR PING VAULT 2.0 PUTTERS Available February 8 RRP $500. www.americangolf.com.au
