THE GEAR TITLEIST AVX GOLF BALLS Engineered for increased distance and extremely soft feel, Titleist’s new AVX is the company’s lowest flying and lowest spinning high performance golf ball. The softest feeling of Titleist’s premium models, the AVX features a high speed, low compression core and a more flexible casing layer, which deliver increased ball speed, while the ‘GRN41’ cast urethane elastomer cover is designed for improved short game control and durability, as well as enhancing the incredibly soft feel. An aerodynamic catenary dimple design produces the long and penetrating trajectory of the AVX, which is available in white and high-optic yellow and underwent a market test over four months in three American states before the company decided to release the ball around the world. “Ultimately, it was important to let golfers decide whether this golf ball had a place in our line and the results of our test market were emphatic,” Vice President of Titleist Golf Ball Marketing Michael Mahoney said.
