THE MOMENT Young Kim Smashes Records SEIYoung Kim became the first player in LPGA Tour history to go lower than 30-under-par when she won the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic at the weekend. The South Korean shot 31 birdies and one eagle – with only one blemish (double-bogey at the 17th on Friday) – to reach 31-under- par and win by nine shots to claim the seventh title of her career. Kim, 25, also held the previous 72-hole record of 27-under-par (2016) alongside Annika Sorenstam, who reached that milestone in 2001. "I never thought I'd shoot 31-under," Kim said. "I really feel incredible." Kim’s 32 holes under par also surpassed the mark of 30 set by Brittany Lincicome, Gerina Pillar and Lexi Thompson in the Bahamas in 2017. E
