Golf Australia Express : GA Express 316
THE MOMENT McLeod promoted on merit Jake McLeod led last week’s Australian PGA Championship after round one to continue his breakout summer of golf that included a third place at the Australian Open and win at the NSW Open. And while the Queenslander couldn’t keep pace with former state teammate Cameron Smith at Royal Pines, McLeod’s T19 was enough to top the PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit. In addition to starts in World Golf Championship events and entry into the final stage of multiple qualifying schools around the world, the achievement means McLeod is now a full member of the European Tour for 2019. “Before that win in New South Wales, I didn't think about the Order of Merit at all,” McLeod said. “I was just solely focused on Asia for next year.” “You never know what's around the corner, so just one good weak can change everything.”
