Golf Australia Express : Issue 6
WHAT VOLVIK SAYS: Volvik began research and development of golf ball technology in Korea in 1989 and specialises in the production of three and four-piece multi-layer solid golf balls that feature patented dimple technology for optimal performance. Volvik manufacture more than one million golf balls per year and are involved in sponsoring Korean LPGA Tour players: Jin Young Pak and Kyeong Bae. The Vista iV is the premium ball in Volvik’s range. This four-piece, tour performance golf ball comes in four colours: orange, yellow, pink and white. About the Balls: South Korea might be relatively new to golf, but you only need to look at the weekly results from the men’s and women’s tours to note the Asian nation is quickly becoming a superpower in golf. And it’s also making some pretty neat golf products. Volvik might not yet be a household name, but if the company’s anything like South Korean golfers, you’ll be hearing a lot more of it. YOUR INDEPENDENT PRODUCT REVIEW TEST THE IN A NUTSHELL Pros: Cool watching coloured balls in flight on an overcast day. Ball plays long enough, feels solid off the club and is very durable. Exciting product and worth a look. Cons: Plays a little firmer around the greens than other tour balls; slightly less spin than top tour balls. VOLVIK VISTA iV It’s clear the golf ball market is dominated by major brands. But if you get out and look around you’ll discover there are now more options available than ever. And many are worthy of consideration. We took the Volvik Vista iV out for a test-drive. Haven’t heard of it? Well, neither had we. DRIVE A VOLVIK
