BRITTANY LANG SOPHIE GUSTAFSON WORLD RANKING: 39 8TH SOLHEIM CUP (RECORD: 9W, 12L, 6 HALVES) WORLD RANKING: 29 2ND SOLHEIM CUP (RECORD: 1W, 0L, 2 HALVES) IT’S FAIR to say Brittany Lang won’t put fear into her Solheim Cup rivals. After all, she remains winless on tour. But the 26-year-old has Solheim Cup experience. In 2009 she recorded one win and two halves from her three matches, and being undefeated in this format counts for something. Lang has said she feels more confident this time around and her determined approach makes her capable of eking a number of points. THREE-TIME LET Player of the Year Sophie Gustafson is an important inclusion on the European team. The 37-year-old Swede has amassed 28 wins in her career, and her considerable length off the tee gives her an advantage over most competitors. A consistent performer over 19 years, Gustafson has played every Solheim Cup since 1998. And she knows Killeen Castle well, having won the 2010 Ladies Irish Open there. NUMBER RANKS 8
