Golf Australia Express : Issue 25
STAT THE THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE... AFTER SECURING his maiden professional win at OneAsia’s Korea Open in October, many expected a big year for Californian Rickie Fowler. It still could be. But the 23-year-old—regarded a gun putter—will need to get on his bike pronto and get the flatstick sorted out. Last year Fowler finished the season with the second best percentage of holing putts greater than 10 feet. With five events gone in 2012 he’s dropped to 69th. Fowler’s just managed just one finish in the top 25, he missed the cut at the Pebble three weeks ago, and was a first round loser at the WGC Match Play.
