Golf Australia Express : Issue 27
...who to watch What’s happening on the PGA Tour this week PEEK THE WEBB SIMPSON (-13) KEEGAN BRADLEY (-11) AMERICAN WEBB Simpson’s a better player than this time last year when he finished runner-up at the Transitions. After the disappointment of missing the playoff, the 26-year-old powered on to secure two PGA titles and snared a further eight top 10s in a career-best season. He’s already scored two top 10s from five starts this season and he’s due for a ‘W’. IPICK HIM every other week, and this is the other week. Keegan Bradley—the 2011 Rookie of the Year—has been thereabouts a couple of times already this season. He’s had two top 10s, including a 2nd at the Northern Trust in February, and has looked threatening at the end of most weeks. He proved he’s clutch several times in 2011, and my gut says he’s close to his first win for 2012. If he doesn’t improve on his 11th rank on the FedEx Cup at Copperhead, he’ll be spitting chips. [Sorry Keegs]. Who’ll Win The Transitions Championship? Post your tip and winning score on our Facebook page. The first correct answer wins a dozen Dixon Earth golf balls valued at $49. Boom.
