Golf Australia Express : Issue 35
SAy whAT? lEttEr of thE WEEk IWIll sAy the whole World Golf hall of fame thing doesn’t do much for me, but I’m really happy that phil mickelson is having his moment of recognition of his amazing career and service to golf. As a fellow lefty who believes golf is a right-hander’s game, I’ve been inspired by watching his short game wizardry and gutsy attack on tight pin placements around the world. maybe more righties on tour could have a look in the mirror and try mimicking his style. After all there’s enough of them. hEy gUyS, lovEd the OTG Express on monday featuring rickie fowler. It was short, snappy and a great way to keep updated with what just happened on tour over the weekend. keep it up please. — Richard M, via email rIckIE, rIckIE, rIckIE. Don’t get me wrong, it was good to see him get his first pGA tour win—even though that hideous puma orange getup is hard to stomach—but he gets far too much attention for his game. maybe now the media (including you guys) will spend more time talking up other up-and-comers like 21-year-old rookie John huh, who won in february in just his fifth pGA tour start. Ah, that’s right, he doesn’t dress like a witches hat. —James H, via email at thE rISk of sounding sexist, it was great to see a very attractive Natalie Gulbis in last week’s issue. Golf has sure missed her brilliant smile and happy demeanour on the course during her past few poor seasons, but hopefully her recent form is an indication we’ll get to see much more of her soon. credit where credit’s due—Nat’s a hottie. —Sophie H, via email THE LETTER OF THE WEEK WINNER RECEIVES A DOzEN DIxON GOLF EARTH BALLS VALUED AT $49.95 —Mark K, via email TELL US YOUR THOUGHTS
