Golf Australia Express : Issue 41
What’s happening on the LPGA Tour this week PEEK THE WATCH HOW THIS unorthodox action has become one of the most accurate and reliable in the business. Jim Furyk is proof there's more than one way to skin a cat. Click on the video icon left or an image to watch the video. JIM FURYK sets up with the ball at the heel of the club instead of the centre, standing so close to it that his hands virtually touch his thighs. It forces him to get very steep on his backswing before looping at the top to get his club coming from the inside on his downswing. While golf teachers steer away from recommending Furyk's action to newcomers, the American veteran has shown how a repeatable action can be incredibly successful—no matter how unorthodox it might seem.
