B E HONEST, WHO else thought ‘Charlie Beljan’ was the name of a fancy new coffee? You know, ‘latte’, ‘cappuccino’, ‘macchiato’, ‘Beljan’. Well the 28-year-old American ordered himself a whole new group of followers with his impressive T3 finish at the Greenbrier Classic on Sunday. Just two weeks ago the struggling PGA Tour rookie had made just three cuts in 11 starts and earned a touch over $26,000 for the season. Only once had he posted back-to-back under par rounds in 2012. But following two big weeks that included a T29 finish at The Travelers and a T3 at the Greenbrier, the Q-School graduate now sits on a seven-round stretch of par of better. Beljan currently has the equal-best streak on Tour and it makes him a name to watch out for on the PGA Tour. He has scored 23-under in total for his last seven rounds and has banked more than $390,000 for the year. If he can maintain current form, Beljan will more than likely get his hands on the chocolates before the year is out.
