Golf Australia Express : Issue 46
BIG Q THE WHAT YOU SAID LAST WEEK... A FTER WHAT HAS been a rough week for Australian golf with Adam Scott getting pipped by Ernie Els at The Open, it was nice to see our very own Peter 'no P' Thomson get the nod from our readers as the best Open champion of all time. And we're certainly not going to disagree with you. Thomson won a total of five British Opens in the 1950s and '60s. That was highlighted by a dominant stretch from 1952-58 where he won four claret jugs and finished runner-up three times. Thommo, give Scotty a call.
