Golf Australia Express : Issue 47
I F THERE’S ONE THING Aaron Baddeley does better than most, it's rolling his rock. The Australian is regarded as one of the best putters on the PGA Tour from long range and has been so for several years now. But it appears cracks are starting to show in the silky stroke first mastered on the undulating greens of Victoria’s sandbelt. Last year, Baddeley sat just outside the top 10 on Tour in one-putts from 20-25 feet, draining 20 putts from that distance during the season. Fast forward 10 months and Baddeley has dropped to No.176 in the same stat, having only made three putts from that distance all year. And for those who saw him struggle on the greens at Royal Lytham it comes as no surprise his total one-putts are also down this season. Overall, it’s been a solid year without being stunning for Baddeley, having made 13 cuts from 17 starts including two top 10s and five top 25s.
