Golf Australia Express : November 2012
THE MO MAKETH THE MAN ED’S WELCOME EDITOR-IN-CHIEF Damian Shutie firstname.lastname@example.org SENIOR WRITER Adrian Ballantyne EDITORIAL CONTRIBUTORS Will Hone Paul Myers NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Sam Gole sam @otgmag.com.au 0412 230 769 CONTACT US EDITORIAL - email@example.com ADVERTISING - firstname.lastname@example.org OTG Mag is produced and published by OTG Media Pty. Ltd © 2012 All Rights Reserved MASTERS, MCDOWELL, Movember and going monthly—this month is all about the letter 'M' at OTG. Kicking off the first of our annual big events for the 'summer' of golf will be the Australian Masters at the magnificent Kingston Heath this month. And it's great to again see some of golf's biggest names travelling out here. While Ian 'goggle eyes' Poulter will be back to defend his title at The Heath, for me it's the return of Graeme McDowell to Oz that'll peak my interest. Despite a quiet few seasons by his standards, the Northern Irishman could well be the one to follow at the sandbelt special. Then again, he might not. Either way, be sure to check out our feature on G-Mac inside this issue. It's interesting to say the least. Of course, it wouldn't be November in Australia without a Movember challenge. So the lads in the office have decided to take each other on and find out once and for all who is the most manly of us all. It's a Mo- off people. It's a Mo-off. Sure, we're pretty primal in here, judging the level of a man's manliness by the thickness of his moustache. But hey, there's a reason we all love David Boon and Tom Selleck. Best of all, we're asking you lot to choose what ridiculous soup- strainer we'll attempt to grow for 30 days. One thing's for sure, we won't be looking any prettier by the end of it. While our hirsute battle is all a bit of fun, we at OTG are getting involved with Movember to spread a serious message. Men—particularly golfing men —are notorious for taking our health for granted. We don't talk during a backswing and we don't talk about health. Well let's show some balls—figuratively—and change that culture. To all the newcomers to OTG, welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy the ride. And to our strong band of loyal followers, here's hoping you enjoy the new monthly format of OTG, stacked with more videos, a greater array of content presented with the same philosophy on the game we've always espoused. Golf is fun. Let's play it that way. See you on the green. DAMIAN SHUTIE Editor-in-Chief email@example.com Twitter: @OTGmag PHOTOGRAPHY BY ODD SPOT REMEMBER THIS?
