Golf Australia Express : May 2013
x ZACH JOHNSON doesn't hit it a long way. In fact, he currently sits way down the PGA Tour's driving distance list at No.186. That number was 168 at the end of the 2012 season. But what the 180cm Iowa native lacks in length, he more than makes up for in course smarts. You need look no further than the 2007 Masters to see why Johnson has been a mainstayer on the PGA Tour for the past several years. This guy is a virtuoso with a wedge. Not only is he currently ranked 11th on Tour in hitting greens in regulation from 75-100 yards, he also hits it closer than most from that range--just outside 13 feet on average. In a sport when the equipment you use can play as much of a role as your talent (just ask Rory), Johnson relies on his Titleist clubs to get him through the hectic PGA Tour schedule. Check out the video left to see them in detail.
