Golf Australia Express : August 2013 - PGA Championship
...THIS CLASSIC NEW YORK COURSE IS WHERE DREAMS ARE REALISED. Home to this month's PGA Championship, Oak Hill Country Club has the kind of rich history that can only exist with the addition of time. Plenty of time. Established at the turn of last century—1901 in fact— this somnambulant stretch of 18 holes has hosted three PGA Championships, three US Opens, two US Amateurs, a Senior Open and a Senior PGA Championship, and the 1995 Ryder Cup since that date. Designed by legendary Scottish American Donald Ross—creator of Pinehurst No.2, Aronomink Golf Club and Oakland Hills among others, no less—Oak Hill's East course has also been fondled by the creative hands of one Robert Trent Jones Sr, who gave it a touch up in the early 1960s.
