Golf Australia Express : November 2013
T HERE'S that old joke about 'limited editions' —they're only limited to the number they can sell. While we're not exactly sure if that's the case with the new Tour Edge Exotics CB PRO Limited Edition fairway wood, we can tell you this thing delivers on its promise of serious distance. Designed with the better player in mind, the latest model uses what the company calls a 'Slip Stream' sole. The theory behind the unique sole design is it minimises contact with the turf and in doing so frees the head of the club to maintain maximum speed through impact. What does all that equate to for you, the golfer? In a word, distance. Plenty of it. The CB PRO features a premium 'beta titanium cup face with a hyper-steel' body, reaching the maximum CT allowed under USGA guidelines. It also comes fitted with a genuine Fujikura Speeder 757 or 661 series shaft. But forget all the tech-head stuff—the CB PRO looks about as classy as a fairway could, and that 'Limited Edition' tag on the sole means you're better than than your playing partners. No, really it does. OTG TourEdge Exotics CB PRO Fairways Edge AVAILABLE NOVEMBER 10; $629
