WIth world No.2 Suzann Pettersen, No.3 Stacy Lewis, No.4 Lydia Ko, Karrie Webb and Lexi Thompson all confirmed starters at the upcoming event, you know you’re in for a special week. Webb is the only one of those famous names to own an Australian Open title, but they’ll all be looking to join past champions Jessica Korda, former world No.1 Yani Tseng, Laura Davies and 1996 winner Catriona Matthew as winners of the Patricia Bridges Bowl. A decent portion of the crowd that flocks to the Melbourne sandbelt will be there to see Ko, but time will tell what kind of shape she’s in after a health scare that almost forced her out of the New Zealand Women’s Open halfway Season Open
