Golf Australia Express : July 2014
W HILE Europe has an abundance of dream golf destinations, Sweden is not necessarily one that immediately jumps to most golfers’ minds. But with its beautiful landscape and unique scenery adding to some pretty fine tracks, this Nordic nether land offers a surprisingly tasty treat for golfers from right around the world. One such Swedish layout with a first-class esteem worth spruiking is found in Malmö, Sweden’s third largest city. Barsebäck Golf and Country Club, home to two championship courses and a quaint nine-holer, is most notably known for hosting numerous European Tour events over the years — including several Scandinavian Masters — as well as the 2003 Solheim Cup. And it will only take a moment or two after setting foot at Barsebäck to realise why those who have played here view this place so favourably. The Dream COLIN MONTGOMERIE IS JUST ONE OF MANY GOLF'S STARS TO TALK UP THE BARSEBÄCK MASTERS COURSE.
