Golf Australia Express : GA Express Corporate Special 01
DO’S & DON’TS DO: CONCEDE PUTTS ... Not only will this speed up play, it will also enhance the comradery within your group. Don’t be that guy who makes your opponents hole out from within a foot (unless of course it’s for the match or a slippery downhill putt). Conceding putts also shows people you’re meeting for the first time that you’re a decent human being. Just don’t start giving away ridiculous six-footers. It’s against the spirit of the game and will make you look like a pushover. DON’T: COPY HAPPY GILMORE ... Most of us have re-enacted the famous character at one point or another. But this is neither the time nor the place to copy his unique swing – and forget about his terrible (albeit hilarious) temperament. The same goes for impressions of Rodney Dangerfield’s character – Al Czervik – in Caddyshack. Leave the imitations at home and make sure you’re dressed appropriately for the course you’re visiting. But most importantly, have fun.
