Golf Australia Express : GA Express 304
THE MOMENT Rose’s top consolation prize Justin Rose entered the final round of the BMW Championship at a sodden Aronimink Golf Club with a chance to become to the World No.1 if he claimed the title, or had a number of results fall his way. And while Rose suffered a sudden death play-off loss to Keegan Bradley, his solo second was enough to supplant Dustin Johnson as the best player in the world and become just the fourth Englishman to reach World No.1, joining Sir Nick Faldo, Lee Westwood and Luke Donald. “Obviously, I’d love to have got there by winning, because that’s what I’ve been saying for a while, I want to get to World No.1 by winning golf tournaments,” Rose said of the consolation prize. “But yeah, delighted to be World No.1, its boyhood dreams.”
